ARTSPOT | Monika Ślósarczyk

In our new column, ArtSpot, we're introducing young artists promoted by Marian Gołogórski. This time, we'd like to take a look at the creations of Monika Ślósarczyk.

Monika was a student of one of the greatest Polish colourists and widely renowned painter, Jan Szancenbach. We can notice how much of artistic awareness Monika has received in Szancenbach's workshop.

Monika Ślósarczyk's paintings are very well painted, full of artistic expression, and have very interesting meaningful titles.

ARTCRAFT | Lost-wax casting

As promised, we're starting a new series of educational posts for everyone interested in the process of artistic creation. If you have ever wondered how it works from the other side, you've just come to the right place!

Today, we'll introduce you to the method commonly used by sculptors and jewellers, called lost-wax casting.

But if it's so common, what makes it so special and fascinating then?
Well, it's one of the most precise methods that allows a sculptor to get the exact cast of the basic form. What's even more interesting is that it is precise enough to maintain the sculptor's fingerprints! So when you see a sculpture, look carefully, maybe you'll se the unique mark of artist on it.

You don't have to go far – you can see the pictures directly from Marian Gołogórski's workshop.

ARTADVISOR | Lola Fischer

Last year I put a lot of hard work into promoting young, emerging artists. That's why I would like to recommend one of young artists cooperating with my gallery - Lola Fischer.

Lola is taking part in many international artistic events. One of most important was the Third International Art Beijing Biennial 2008 Colours and Olympics in China. Lola is a member of prestigious international artists association - OFAA (Olimpia Fine Arts Assocciation).

Lola's works are warmly received by the audience. Because of high artistic level, her works can be highly demanded on the international art market in close future.

If you would be interested, you can ask for works by Lola Fischer in Gologorski Gallery in Krakow or by using Contact Form on the gallery's website www.gologorski.com.
